Gulf United Mobility is not a government body, embassy, consulate or appointed application centre. The requirements we work to are those published by the authorities below, and they may change at any time.
The Saudi-based applicant's position
A Schengen short-stay visa permits up to 90 days in any 180-day period for tourism, family visits, business meetings and similar purposes. The European Commission sets the common framework through the Visa Code; the member state receiving your application publishes the practical requirements you must meet.
For applicants in Saudi Arabia, most member states accept applications through missions in Riyadh and Jeddah or through an appointed external provider, and coverage differs by state. Confirm with the specific consulate which city handles applicants from your region of the Kingdom.
Destination and member-state differences
Choose the member state where you will spend the most time. If the time is evenly split, apply to the state you will enter first. Applying to the wrong member state can result in an application being rejected as inadmissible without assessment.
Beyond that common rule, member states genuinely differ in what they ask for, and those differences should be checked for the specific state you apply to:
- Required passport validity margin beyond your return date
- Whether bank statements must be stamped by the bank, and how many months are required
- Whether a confirmed flight booking or a reservation is expected
- The insurance evidence format accepted, and whether a specific provider list applies
- Whether applications are taken directly at the mission or through VFS Global, TLScontact or BLS International
- Whether the mission covers all of Saudi Arabia or only certain regions
Where a state is not represented in the Kingdom, it may be represented by another member state under a representation arrangement. That must be confirmed with the consulate rather than assumed.
Residence and employment evidence in the Kingdom
- Iqama with validity beyond your intended return, to the margin the consulate publishes
- National ID for Saudi nationals
- Employer letter or no-objection letter confirming position, salary and approved leave dates
- Employment contract or salary certificate where relevant
- Commercial registration and ownership documents for business owners
- GOSI or equivalent record where it supports continuity of employment
Consulates read these documents as an explanation of why you will return at the end of the visit. Where employment has recently changed, saying so plainly in the file is better than leaving the consulate to notice the gap.
Itinerary, accommodation and financial evidence
Itinerary
- A city-by-city or day-by-day outline consistent with the main-destination choice
- Flight reservation or booking as the consulate requires
- Internal travel between member states where applicable
Accommodation
- Reservations covering every night of the stay
- Host invitation with the host's address and status where staying privately
Financial evidence
- Recent personal bank statements, stamped where required
- Salary credits consistent with the employer letter
- Explanations for unusual credits
- Sponsor evidence and a short supporting letter where applicable
Travel medical insurance
Travel medical insurance is a specific Schengen requirement. It must cover emergency medical treatment, hospitalisation and repatriation for the full intended stay across the Schengen territory, to the minimum coverage set in the Visa Code framework.
- Coverage dates must span the whole trip, not only the main-destination leg
- Territorial scope must cover all Schengen states on the itinerary
- The insured name must match the passport exactly
- Corporate policies must show the individual is covered for the travel dates
Where clients do not already hold suitable insurance, flights or accommodation, we can arrange them through reputable third-party providers as part of a managed application.
Appointment and biometric stage
You book an appointment with the mission or its appointed provider, submit the file and give fingerprints and a photograph unless usable biometrics were recorded within the period the Visa Code allows. Fees, locations and availability are set by the member state and its provider.
Appointment capacity from the Gulf tightens noticeably around summer and major holiday periods, so the appointment date is often the binding constraint on the whole timeline. No agent can create availability.
How a managed Schengen application works
You provide the required personal information and documents. We identify the correct member state, check that consulate's current published requirements, prepare the application, review the itinerary, insurance and financial evidence for gaps and inconsistencies, and coordinate submission with you remotely from Bahrain.
Gulf United Mobility is not an embassy, consulate or appointed application centre, and cannot influence a consulate's decision.
- Main-destination member state correctly identified
- That consulate's own published requirements checked directly
- Iqama or national ID valid for the required margin beyond return
- Employer letter confirms leave matching the travel dates
- Insurance covers the entire stay and all Schengen states on the itinerary
- Accommodation covers every night of the trip
- Bank statements stamped where required and unusual credits explained
Frequently asked questions
Where do I apply for a Schengen visa in Saudi Arabia?
To the embassy, consulate or appointed application centre of your main destination member state, usually through missions or providers in Riyadh or Jeddah. Coverage by region differs between member states, so confirm with the specific consulate.
How much Iqama validity do Schengen consulates require?
Requirements differ by member state, and many ask for validity for a set period beyond your intended return. Check the published requirement of the consulate you are applying to rather than assuming a standard figure.
Which member state do I apply to for a multi-country trip?
The state where you will spend the most time. If time is split evenly, apply to the state you enter first. This is a Visa Code principle, and applying to the wrong state can make the application inadmissible.
Does Gulf United Mobility have an office in Saudi Arabia?
No. We are based in Bahrain and support Saudi-based applicants remotely, handling preparation, review and coordination online and by phone.
Can you guarantee a Schengen visa?
No. The decision belongs to the consulate of the member state. We prepare the application against current published requirements and remove avoidable weaknesses, which is a different thing from an outcome promise.
