Gulf United Mobility is not a government body, embassy, consulate or appointed application centre. The requirements we work to are those published by the authorities below, and they may change at any time.
Step 1: do you need a UK ETA or a UK visa?
Settle this before preparing anything. The UK decides which permission you need from the nationality on your passport, not from where you live. GOV.UK publishes an ETA national list that includes Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, and states that the electronic visa waiver is closed and that nationals of those countries should apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation instead.
Saudi and other GCC passport holders
For an eligible short visit, the normal route is an ETA applied for online before travel — no application centre appointment and no full evidence file. An ETA is permission to travel rather than a visa, and permission to enter is still granted at the UK border. It does not cover work, settlement or stays beyond the published visitor limits.
Visa nationals resident in the Kingdom
A large share of the Kingdom's residents hold passports that still require a UK visa. If that is your position, the Standard Visitor route described below applies, and you apply from Saudi Arabia because that is where you are lawfully resident.
Applying while resident in Saudi Arabia
UK Visas & Immigration expects visa applications to be made from the country where you are lawfully resident. If you live and work in Saudi Arabia, that is where you apply and where you attend your biometric appointment, regardless of your nationality.
Saudi nationals
Saudi passport holders are on the GOV.UK ETA national list, so an eligible short visit is normally made with an Electronic Travel Authorisation rather than a Standard Visitor visa. The Standard Visitor route remains relevant where the purpose or length of stay falls outside what an ETA covers. These requirements change from time to time, so confirm the position on GOV.UK before you apply.
Expatriate residents in the Kingdom
For expatriate applicants, the Iqama is central. Its validity relative to the intended travel dates, your length of residence, and the continuity of your employment or business activity all help explain why the trip is short and temporary. An Iqama close to expiry, or a recent change of employer that the file does not explain, can raise avoidable questions and should be addressed in the file.
The official UK application process
- Confirm the correct route and the current fee on GOV.UK.
- Complete the online Standard Visitor application, including travel, employment and financial sections.
- Pay the official application fee.
- Book a biometric appointment at a UK Visa Application Centre in Saudi Arabia.
- Upload or scan supporting documents as instructed after submission.
- Attend the appointment for fingerprints and a photograph.
- Wait for the decision and passport return according to the option you selected.
UKVI publishes current processing times. No agent can shorten them or affect the outcome.
Appointment centres in the Kingdom
UK visa applications from Saudi Arabia are handled through the commercial partner appointed by UKVI, which operates application centres in the Kingdom's main cities. The centre confirms which locations are open, which services are available and what you must bring, and that information is published on the appointed provider's own site.
Because appointment capacity and location coverage change, we confirm the current position for your city at the point of preparation rather than promising a particular centre or date. Availability belongs entirely to the centre.

Documents in Arabic may need certified translation depending on the requirement in force. GOV.UK publishes the translation expectation, and it is worth confirming rather than assuming.
Application preparation for Saudi-based applicants
On a managed application you provide the required personal information and documents. We confirm the current official requirements for your route on GOV.UK, prepare the application form accurately, review the evidence set for gaps and contradictions, flag the issues that most often weaken Gulf-based files, and coordinate the appointment and submission stages with you remotely.
Where flights, accommodation or travel insurance are not already in place, we can arrange them through reputable third-party providers so the travel evidence is genuine.
We are not a government body, embassy, consulate or appointed application centre. We cannot influence a decision, guarantee an outcome or create appointment availability.
- Iqama or national ID validity covers the intended travel comfortably
- Employer letter states approved leave that matches your travel dates
- Bank statements are recent and every unusual credit is explained
- Business owners have included personal income evidence, not only company papers
- Arabic documents are translated where a translation is required
- Accommodation or host details cover the whole stay
- Any earlier refusal is addressed directly in the new application
Frequently asked questions
Can Gulf United Mobility help me if I live in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. We are based in Bahrain and support Saudi-based applicants remotely, handling document review, application preparation and coordination online and by phone. We do not have a Saudi office.
Where do I give biometrics for a UK visa in Saudi Arabia?
At a UK Visa Application Centre operated by the commercial partner appointed by UKVI. The provider publishes current locations, services and appointment availability, which we confirm at the time of preparation.
How much Iqama validity do I need?
GOV.UK does not publish a single fixed figure for this, but an Iqama expiring around or shortly after your intended return weakens the explanation of why you will return. Longer validity relative to your travel dates is generally easier to assess.
Do I need my employer's approval to apply?
An employer letter confirming your position, salary and approved leave is one of the most useful pieces of evidence for a Saudi-based applicant, because it supports both your ties and the specific dates you intend to travel.
Can you guarantee my UK visa will be approved?
No, and no one legitimately can. The decision rests entirely with UK Visas & Immigration. What we can do is ensure the application is accurate, complete, internally consistent and submitted against the current published requirements.
